About East Coast Data Recovery — Edinburgh’s Data Recovery Specialists

East Coast Data Recovery was founded in Edinburgh in 2017 by Louis Man, a data recovery specialist based in Leith. We focus exclusively on advanced data recovery — hard drives, SSDs, RAID arrays, Apple Macs, iPhones, USB drives, and flash storage.

Data recovery is all we do here, and we do it at a level that most generalist shops simply can’t match.

Why We’re Different

We use professional-grade equipment that most independent shops don’t have access to — including the AceLab PC3000, Deepspar DDI, HDDSurgery and ApexTools. We work in our own clean-air environment for mechanical drive cases, and we invest time researching each case properly before attempting recovery.

We’re one of a very small number of independent specialists inScotland capable of recovering data from M1 and M2 Macbooks and Iphones and Ipads.

Our Approach

We believe in being straight with people. If we think a drive is unrecoverable, we’ll tell you. If there’s a real chance, we’ll explain exactly what’s involved, what it will cost, and what the realistic outcome looks like. You won’t get a surprise bill.
