East Coast Data Recovery are Edinburgh’s specialist in Apple data recovery. Based in Leith since 2017, we recover data from all Apple devices — MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Mini, iPhone, external HDDs, and SSDs, including the latest models with T2 and Fusion Drive storage.
We’re one of a very small number of independent shops in Scotland able to recover data from M1 and M2 MacBooks, where the SSD issoldered to the logic board and requires board-level repair.
Drop in or post your device to us.

If your M1 or M2 MacBook has failed, your data isn’t necessarily lost — but recovering it requires specialist skills that most shops in Scotland don’t have. The SSD is soldered directly to the logicboard on these models, meaning standard recovery tools simply won’t connect to it.
We have the equipment and expertise to repair the logic board andaccess the encrypted storage — recovering your files even when Apple themselves cannot help. Get in touch on 0131 553 9006 for a free consultation.
