Damaged G-Drive – Western Digital “Spyglass” USB Drive

Customer dropped Western Digital made G-Drive onto hard wood floor.

Data recovery was possible but on only 8 of the 10 reading surfaces / heads.

Using special Head swap tools we were able to swap out the heads from a donor to allow us to read the remaining 2 surfaces.

We managed to get over 92% of customer target data which was mostly video footage.
