WD Passport Drive with Lost Recordings

We had this drive come in from a musician with very important Logic files that might bring about a recording contract!

Drive was not being picked up and had internal issues with sector problems, and was responding slowly.

We had to SATA convert the drive from USB to give us full control.

 

 

Once converted to SATA we were able to use our Advanced Recovery System from Acelabs to rectify the “slowness” issues and image the data off the good portions of the disk which allowed us to

extract and recover virtually all the files, including the important Logic files.

 

All the data has been copied off onto a fresh drive and I am pleased to say, that apart from a few folders of video’s that weren’t apparently that important, we have the rest recovered.
